Snow Suits and Body Heat

RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #85 Tight&Warm

Good morning. My first haiku is from a memory of dressing little boys for play in the cold.

Snow Suits

Snow suit for baby
Bundled  to stay warm outside
Too tight for moving

Body Heat

Hug me tight and close
Share your body heat tonight
Snug as bugs in rugs

Love Signs

RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #85 Tight&Warm – you  are invited to write by Rononvan Writes.

I’m publishing Martha’s haiku first. I will try to write later after I’ve exercised and exorcised; fit body, fit mind.

Love Signs
Tendons are tightened
Butterflies invade tummy
Face quickly flushes
roseopen rosebud
Taunt flower pedals
forming a perfect rose bud
warmth shows full beauty

Life and Give

Martha and I are working on the Prompt #Challenge #72 Life&Give for Ronovan’s haiku page.

Cleft of the Rock

My soul seeks refuge
Anger, hate, and war abound
Hide me in the cleft

Life Cycle

Hibernating Bears
Internal clocks give alarm
Awake, spring is here

2 x Martha

life wanes
Her life so precious
wanes as loved ones stand helpless
offering prayers
seedlings begin life
flourishing in warmth of sun
till winter brings death

Haiku and Mind

I’m at my desk writing my Monday’s Music when Martha called up to me from her desk that she has emailed her two haikus to me. That is the signal to go to Ronovan’s address to see the prompt words, Haiku and Mind. I don’t read anyone else’s poems lest I “borrow” ideas or be influenced in any way. Now I think and write. I like to write on Poem Syllable Counter.

Anyone can write
If it’s 3 lines of haiku
Mind the syllables

I’m losing my mind
What can I do? Poetry!

My pen still for pretty boys

Harp and Clear

We have an extra step this morning. We will choose to share someone’s haiku. This is a generous gift to your fellow blogger. When I reblog, I’m saying this is good, so good I want everyone to have the pleasure of reading your work.

2 x 2, Martha and Meredith accept the challenge!

The Harpist
She, poised with her harp,
found beauty not only in
form but clarity.
Contented Soul
Judgment unclouded
spiritually serene
in my faith I dwell

Shrill little vixen
I interpret your meaning
Mommy will feed you
Dwelling Place
The Most High Judge promised me
Dwell in heaven’s home

Bust and Must

ronovan_writes_haiku_prompt_badge_autumn_2014Ronovan’s haiku challenge always comes out on Monday. Even though he’s operating at a disadvantage, without his computer, we have our prompt words, bust and must.

Moving On
To break away from
ravages of a bruised heart
is imperative.

Bust a crazy move
In this short journey called life.
Must for sanity!
